Matthew graduated with a first class master of physics degree from Durham University and subsequently studied for a PhD in plasma physics at Imperial College London. His research involved experimental investigations into high energy density plasmas relevant to astrophysics and his work has been published in a number of academic journals.

Matthew has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patents across electronics, physics, and engineering fields, and more recently building experience of managing patent portfolios for clients.
