Louise Johnson

Patent Attorney

MPhys PhD

Louise holds a PhD in physics from the University of Manchester, where she studied the behaviour of liquid crystal molecules in electric fields. Her research was published in the Journal of Materials Chemistry.

Louise qualified as a UK patent attorney in 2018. During her training, she won the Strode Prize and the Ballantyne Prize for achieving the highest marks in examinations for ‘Advanced IP Law and Practice’ and ‘Infringement and Validity’.

With experience on the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the UK, Europe and worldwide, Louise is able to provide intellectual property advice for a diverse range of clients, from start-ups and universities to large multi-national corporations.
