Kealan Fallon

With a background spanning chemistry, physics, and engineering, Kealan has a deep appreciation of the challenges and opportunities within interdisciplinary research environments. His broad experience helps him to understand and protect his clients’ innovations.
Kealan works over a wide range of subject matter in the chemical and electronics industries, from polymers and small molecule speciality chemicals to scientific equipment and photonic technologies. A major part of Kealan’s work involves opposition and appeals before the European Patent Office, opposing and defending European patents.
Kealan holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry and a first class master’s degree in Chemistry, both from University College London (UCL). Before joining the IP profession in 2022, he held postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard University, Columbia University, and the University of Cambridge. He has published over twenty peer-reviewed journal articles and held two patents on his academic research. He is a Fulbright Scholar and a Ramsay Fellow.
