After graduating with a masters degree in chemistry from Durham University, David worked for 3 years as a technical assistant in a Japanese patent law firm where he specialised in chemical and pharmaceutical inventions.

David has gained invaluable experience, and played an active role, in the prosecution of hundreds of different Japanese patent applications as well as contentious issues such as oppositions and invalidation appeals.
