Chris completed his Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Sussex and Legal Practice Course at the University of Law London after graduating with a degree in History from the University of Sheffield.
Working in practice at a top 20 law firm in Yorkshire for eight years, Chris spent five years in the commercial legal insurance litigation department before qualifying as a chartered legal executive. Moving to a regional firm in Leeds, Chris continued his career as a commercial litigation solicitor.
Chris has experience of handling a range of commercial, employment and IP disputes for small and large businesses, including: defending a software development company from a breach of copyright claim brought by a national retailer in the High Court; acting for an international PLC in multi-million-pound claims against its former directors; acting for a national fast food outlet in claims for trademark infringement against its former franchisees; and defending a start-up engineering company in a multi-million-pound claim for conspiracy and breach of confidence.
