Chloe Johnson

Having joined the IP profession in 2023, Chloe helps clients to protect their life science inventions. Her research experience allows her to understand clients’ patent protection needs for a wide range of applications in the life sciences and biotechnology sectors.
Chloe works over a wide range of subject matter, including antibodies, bacteriotherapy and microbiome, and cell and gene therapies. She has a particular interest in protein biochemistry and small molecule therapeutics.
Chloe graduated from the University of Kent with a BSc in Biomedical Science. Between her second and final year, she competed a Year in Industry working at the ISIS Neutron and Muon source in Oxfordshire. Chloe stayed at the University of Kent to complete her PhD in Biochemistry. Her research focussed on cardiovascular disease and cardiac muscle physiology. She then obtained a Wellcome Trust fellowship to continue her research at the University of Cambridge. Her research has been published in numerous peer reviewed publications, and she has presented her work at both national and international conferences.
