Terry Instone

Terry’s previous experience, as an industrial researcher and an in-house patent attorney, means that he is ideally placed to give pragmatic advice relating to complex problems involving patents and designs

Terry has a broad range of clients including global corporations as well as local SMEs. With a natural science degree and a PhD in semiconductor physics, he handles patent applications in the fields of physics, electronics and general engineering as well as in chemical fields.

He particularly enjoys advising on contentious issues and specialises in handling patent oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office (EPO).
