Jonathan completed an integrated master’s degree, obtaining a first class BSc and first class MPhys in Physics with Nanotechnology from the University of Leeds.
His postgraduate research studied a protein related to auto-immune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, with a heavy focus on using fundamental biophysical techniques to solve complex immunological issues.
Jonathan’s interest in interdisciplinary work, combining research from areas of physics, biology and medicine, led to his status as co-founder of an undergraduate research group called the Healthcare Technology Cooperative Foundation (HTCf, now MedTech Foundation).
