Johannes Biniok

Trainee Patent Attorney

Prior to joining the Appleyard Lees, Johannes graduated with a PhD from the School of Mathematics at the University of York. His research was in the foundations of quantum mechanics, and involved finding precise quantum mechanical descriptions of certain physical experiments and the related physical concepts. This research was published in three scientific publications, all with Physical Review A.

Since joining the intellectual property profession, Johannes has worked across diverse technical fields, and developed extensive experience drafting patent applications, revocation proceedings and hearings before the UK Intellectual Property Office (UK IPO).
