Bob has a broad interest in chemical and materials inventions. However, by virtue of a broad scientific background and work experience he is comfortable with a broad range of technologies.
As a consultant Bob can use his experience to handle complex tasks for our clients. Examples include handling negotiations and if necessary disputes and oppositions; developing intellectual propertry (IP) strategies that meet business needs and budgetary requirements; conducting risk assessments about intended courses of action, such as product launches, and mergers and acquisitions; and investigating and understanding the IP position of competitors, and dealing with any arising risks.
Since joining Appleyard Lees from Shell in 1988 and founding our successful chemical team, Bob has worked with clients of all shapes and sizes. He is comfortable working for the largest multinationals and is equally at home, and enjoys, working for up and coming companies and entrepreneurial innovators.
