Andrew joined Appleyard Lees in 2019 after becoming a part-qualified UK patent attorney whilst working at another leading firm, where he gained particular experience in the areas of consumer electronics and medical devices.
Andrew graduated from Imperial College London with a first class master’s degree in physics, which included a year spent studying in Madrid. In 2016 Andrew was awarded a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Oxford for his thesis on the atomic structure of pharmaceuticals, such as cocaine, in physiologically relevant environments, which resulted in several peer-reviewed publications.
Following the award of his doctorate, Andrew taught maths and science in Azerbaijan.
