Ian holds a degree in electronics and jointly heads our electronics and software team with Paul Brandon.
Ian specialises in the field of electronics and computers, with a detailed focus on patent protection for computer software. As part of his specialist work, Ian is a regular speaker on software patents and is an active member of the Computer Technology Committee of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys.
Ian entered the profession in 1990 and joined our firm in 1997. He is closely involved in the training of all our new Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys and acts as a tutor for the UK and European qualifying examinations.
