Jorandi Daneel

Jorandi is an Associate in the Trade Mark Team and is based in our Halifax and Leeds offices.

She advises clients on a wide range of matters and handles both contentious and non-contentious trade mark matters, including trade mark searching, clearance and advice; trade mark filings and prosecution; trade mark opposition, invalidation and revocation matters before the UK and European Trade Mark Offices; as well as advising on trade mark infringement and passing-off. She assists clients in domain name disputes and cases before the Company Name Tribunal, as well as copyright matters. She is also involved with MARQUES (the Association of European Trade Mark Owners) and is a member of the MARQUES Cyberspace team, which responsibilities include domain names and trade mark infringement on Internet.

Jorandi graduated in 2004 with a degree in Law from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and is admitted as an Attorney in the High Court of South Africa. She started her career in trade marks at a leading South African Intellectual Property firm before joining a reputable firm of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys in Manchester where she qualified as a registered UK and European Trade Mark Attorney in 2013. Jorandi joined Appleyard Lees in September 2015.
