Ian’s work as a consultant includes essential advice to our clients on global strategy and direction. He has substantial experience in patent prosecution for many forms of computer software, including OS-level security and virtual networking, and advises and supports litigation for clients both domestically and internationally, including patent infringement/non-infringement, validity and opposition cases.

Ian is particularly experienced at handling large-volume patent filing programs for multinational corporations. Each case gets dedicated time and attention to achieve the desired scope of protection, while working quickly and cost-effectively to agreed budgets.

In practice since 1990, Ian contributes to professional bodies including The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) and their Computer Technology Committee (CTC), and Society for Computers and Law (SCL).
