Graham Johnson

Graham is a Partner in our Trade Marks and Chemistry & Pharmaceutical teams and is based in our Manchester office. He works across a variety of areas and has a particular interest in the consumer goods and food and beverage sectors.

Graham works with a number of household names and also enjoys working with companies establishing themselves in the market and seeking to grow their brands. Graham has particular expertise in helping SME’s evaluate the range of IP rights available to them to build a range of IP around their brands.  Graham frequently advises in relation to intellectual property rights and in particular contentious matters and has helped clients to reach commercially favourable settlements and avoid court action in many cases. Graham also has a wealth of experience in trade mark and patent disputes before the UK Intellectual Property Office, the European Patent Office and the EU Intellectual Property Office. He is also an active member of the Licensing Executives Society sitting on the committee of the North West section.

Graham holds a degree in Chemistry with Patent Law from the University of Manchester during which he gained valuable industrial insight whilst spending a year in the R&D and patent departments of English China Clays.
