Simon joined the firm in November 2008 and is training in the Halifax office, under the guidance of Hugh Sherrard-Smith, to become a Patent and Trade Mark Attorney. Simon has submitted a PhD, which concerned the hydraulic shock phenomenon in aircraft wing-box structures caused by ballistic impact.
Before joining Appleyard Lees, Simon worked as a research engineer in the defence and civil industries. Simon handles matters involving mechanical patents as well as all aspects of trade marks, designs and copyright.
