PCT National Phases

Appleyard Lees offer a full service to our overseas colleagues in other countries all around the world for filings in the UK and Europe on behalf of your clients.

What we need

For a entry into the PCT national or regional phase we need:

• PCT A-publication number
• Any amendments under Art 19 or Art 34 PCT
• Any changes or amendments to be made on entry into the national or regional phase

The ordinary deadline for both the UK and EPO is 31 months from the earliest priority date.

Urgent cases

We will handle your instructions quickly and efficiently. Urgent applications are often filed on the same business day that we receive your fax or email instructions and we don’t normally make any extra charges, even for very urgent cases.

Electronic filing systems now connect our offices directly to the UKIPO, the EPO and OHIM, to give you and your clients a better service at a lower cost. Also, there are usually small reductions in official fees for using these online filing services.

Professional Charges

Our standard filing charges cover preparing and filing the relevant application, reporting to you as our overseas colleagues and dealing with any routine queries that may arise. Charges for professional attorney time are applied for dealing with special problems or undertaking special revision work, advising on the form and contents of applications, or when dealing with Office Actions, etc when you request our input and expertise.

Forms and Powers of Attorney

We do not normally need a power of attorney or any other forms signed by you or your client.
